Join us for an exciting evening as author Stephen Puleo discusses his latest book The Great Abolitionist: Charles Sumner and the Fight for a More Perfect Union.
The Great Abolitionist tells the story of one of the most influential non-presidents in American history (included in this exclusive club were Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Susan B. Anthony, and Martin Luther King, Jr.) – and far more influential than many presidents – a leader who exhibited true courage and authenticity.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Mr. Puleo's books at this event, and a book signing to follow his talk.
Author Bio:
Stephen Puleo is an author, historian, teacher, public speaker, and communications professional. He is the author of eight books, including his most recent, The Great Abolitionist: Charles Sumner and the Fight for a More Perfect Union, published by St. Martin’s Press in 2024, and nominated for the prestigious Mark Lynton History Prize offered by the Columbia School of Journalism and Harvard’s Nieman Foundation for Journalism. He is currently at work on his ninth book.
