Poetry Reading & Author Talk with Sara Letourneau

Monday, April 77:00—8:00 PMCommunity Meeting RoomBoyden Library10 Bird Street, Foxborough, MA, 02035

Please join poet/author and Foxboro, MA resident Sara Letourneau for an evening that celebrates National Poetry Month! Sara will read a selection of poems from her debut collection, Wild Gardens, and offer a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a poetry book.

Writing a poetry collection is much different than writing a novel or nonfiction book. As Sara reads from Wild Gardens, she’ll share insights from her process of structuring the book. She’ll also talk about the “web” of themes that makes up this collection—the natural world, mental health, art and creativity, travel, relationships, spirituality—and why they matter to her, as well as how all of these themes are more closely connected to one another than we may think.

If you’re a fan of the poetry of Mary Oliver, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, and US Poet Laureate Ada Limón, then you’ll enjoy Sara’s poetry and this one-of-a-kind event that combines a poetry reading with an author talk.
